A Mediterranean Classic
When there’s a party in Spain, „Paella“, Spain’s national dish, cannot be missing from the table! Discover this classic Mediterranean dish, now available in trusted and delicious GEFRO quality, with only the finest ingredients. A temperamental rice speciality with carefully selected round-grain rice, red and green sweet peppers, Ñora peppers, zucchini, a hint of garlic, mushrooms and saffron. 100% natural ingredients for 100% paella flavour. 1. Fry the paella mix in 4-5 tbsp pf GEFRO Olive Oil and a few crumbled threads of GEFRO Saffron. 2. Add a splash of white wine to taste, and boil down. 3. Pour 750 ml of GEFRO Vegetable Bouillon over the paella mix. Cook on a medium heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring continuously. 4. Add sea food or fish, according to taste, or fry chicken and add at the end. 5. Leave the paella for 10 minutes before stirring, then serve. ¡Buen provecho!

Once known as a poor man’s food, nowadays paella is a fixed feature in Spain’s dining culture. And not only there. This delicious rice dish has conquered kitchens in many countries and delights hobby cooks as well as professional chefs all over the world. The Spanish national dish is traditionally prepared and served in a special frying pan, the „paellera“. Fish or seafood, such as muscles, scampi, calamari, shrimp, crab or lobster are typically added – making the meal not only look delicious, it tastes that way too – memories of Mediterranean holidays included! Chicken, Chorizo, Cabanossi, pork tenderloin, veal or fresh vegetables, peas and green beans are all possible additions to GEFRO’s Vegetable Paella. It can however, be enjoyed just the way it is, made with ease and enjoyed as a main dish. Its easy preparation makes it popular with those who want to serve a tasty dish, cooked simply and quickly. Firstly, the rice mix is sautéed in some GEFRO Extra Virgin Olive Oil, then some white wine is added bit by bit and cooked with 750 ml GEFRO Vegetable Bouillon for approx. 20 – 25 minutes, and voilá!
